EVERYBODY’S. Z DOUGLAS FAIRBANKS TO-NIGHT. Douglas Fairbanks, premier screen comedian, will present his second picture for ‘Big Four” release, “When the Clouds Roll By” at Everybody’s to-night. Farce comedy of the best sort with the star’s athletic stunts always to the fore sums up this latest picture from the Fairbanks studio. Douglas named Daniel Boone Brown in the feature, a healthy normal young man with a job in his uncle’s office. To tell you all about this picture would spoil part of your enjoyment and also monopolise the newspaper for it is a full hour and a half of rushing dramatic action with a laugh every minute and some spectacular stuff which has never been surpassed. There is a flood which rivals the biblical description of the on-i in which Noah played the leading role. Some of the cleverest work ever attempted in a photoplay is evidenced. The star shows his athletic prowess to as great advantage as in any feature he has ever made. And the story will hold interest for itself alone. Prices of admission remain as usual. THE PEOPLE’S. LAST NIGHT OF “FOOL’S PARADI'SE.” Paramount extended season special production “Fool’s Paradise,” made by Cecil De Mille, screens for the last time to-night at the .People’s. It is the story of a man whor loved a fickle French actress, and who was loved by a Mexican saloon dancer. A trick cigar given him by the latter blinds him on the day the actress leaves the town. The dancer, making him believe she is tjie actress, marries him. They are happy until a great surgeon comes to the town and gives back sight to the man, who enraged at the deception, arranges for a divorce, and then follows the girl he loves to Siam. The cast is all-star. Dorothy Dalton and Conrad Nagel share honours with Mildred z Harris, Theodore Kosloff, John Davidson and Julia Faye. HAROLD LLOYD TO-MORROW. For the first time in a brilliant mirth-making career Harold Lloyd has come out in a five-reel comedy. “Grandma’s Boy,” screening at the People’s 'tomorrow - and Friday, is the best example of dean, wholesome, irresistibly funny picture that Harold Lloyd has starred in. In the part of a coward and as a man who fears nought, but captures single-handed a brutal tramp, he is supreme. Apart from the wonderful humour there are the most unexpected and unlooked-for stunts, in which a Henry Ford plays a prominent part. The big, spectacled youth, for such is Lloyd in his appearance before the public, produces more real enjoyment to a foot of film than any other
comedy actor of the screen, not even excepting Charlie Chaplin. ‘Paid Baek,” a Universal special feature with an all star cast, will also be shown. The cast includes Gladys Brockwell. Stuart Holmes, Edna * Murphy and Mahlon Hamilton. Seats for either night can be reserved at Collier’s.
