He said there would lie no increase in taxation, and the in-come-tax exemption would be increase! to £3OO. He would abolish prohibition polls, but curtail the hours of trading. Sugar pools would be established if the Commonwealth prohibits the importation of sugar grown ov black labour. Mr. Theodore added that the last prohibition poll would be held in October. Mr. Vowles, leader of the Country Party, in a policy speech, charged the Labour Government with having increased the national debt from 57 to 86 miHions. He advocated development of the country.
