AN ASSOCIATION’S OPINIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association Dunedin. March 8. The Now Zealand Cricket Council asked the Otago Association to express an opinion concerning the councils action in allowing the Otago-Wellington match to be abandoned.

The Association decided to reply that it considered the council had acted wisely in the circumstances, but was of opinion that the rules governing the P’unket Shield competitions should be revised, and provision be made for such contingencies as arose. In reply to the council, the association expressed the opinion that the eight ball over was a decided improvement, and worked most satisfactorily.
