In four games of the series, of which Newman and Smith have each won two, Newman leads by 229 on the aggregate scores. He also has the highest, break, which is 927, against Smith’s 731. The fifth game, which is proceeding at Manchester, resulted In big breaks during the week, Smith’s best being 715, 530, 540 and 290, and Newman’s best being 510, 481, 364 and 314. The scores are: Smith 0667, Newman 6330. Falkiner overtook Inman during the week, scoring twenty-six breaks over 100, aggregating 4969, against Inman’s twenty creaks aggregatin 3385. The best breaks were: Falkiner 403, 354, 305 and 302; Inman 369, 259, 258 and 193. The scores are: Falkiner 14,309, Inman 14,255.
