ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
KILLED BY A MOTOR-CAR. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch. Jan. 19. Mrs. Eva Green, acred 40. wa« killed at Kirwee last night through the overturning of a ear driven by a stock agent named Patrick Guinev, who was returning to the city. Mrs. Green’s neck broken, but Guiney escaped with slight injuries. SUICIDE IN A HOSPITAL. Gisborne Jan. 19. Frederick George Chapman, an inmate of the public hospital, was found dead at 2.30 thia morning with hie throat cut by a razor. Deceased was a married man with five children, residing in Muriwai. A CHILD DROWNED. Palmerston North, Jan. 19. Victor Boothly, aged 19 months, wae drowned in a water-hole on the property of deceased’s mother at Newbury. The.child was playing in the baekvard and was. missed, the body being later found in the water hole.
