ARMY’S DRASTIC LAWS. OPPOSITION FROM LABOR. Bj’ Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Jan. 18, 9.10 p.m. London, Jan. 17. Mr. Johnson, Labor leader in Dail Eireann, moved a resolution disagreeing with the Free State Army Council’s orders imposing the death penalty by court-mar-tial for aiding and conspiring murder, manufacturing arms, possessing arms, uniforms or documents endangering the safety of the State or national forces or police, or assisting any prisoner to escape. The Free State has officially announced that, irregulars in County Kerry attacked an army aeroplane. The pilot turned a machine gun on the attackers, who fled.
