DEMAND FOR COAL.
ACTIVITY IN BRITAIN. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Jan. 18, 7.15 p.m. London, Jan. 17. Owing to the damand for coal from America, and France, the ports of South Wales are crowded with ships, of which 115 arrived during the last three days. A total of 315 vessels are now in the docks and 48 steamers were unable to find berths. —Reuter.
