DOMINION * CONFERENCE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The New Zealand Nurserymen’s Conference opened to-day. Mr. Buxton, in his presidential address, said the outlook was bright. He referred to the increased membership gained since the appointment of an organiser. The Minister of Agriculture spoke of the progress of the nursery industry. Tie emphasised that only the best fruit should be exported, and he said that personally he believed it would be best to devote most attention to the South American market. He agreed there was need for a horticulture school, but he would have to wait until the financial position improved.
