Walter Raymond Sutherland was fined £2o* foi* being illegally on the Egmont Racecourse; ' A DARING THEFT. Auckland, Jan. 15. At two o’clock this morning a thief broke the window of E.’ S. Kohn, jeweller, Queen Street, and stole two trays of diamond rings valued at £3OO. The crash was heard in the hotel opposite, but before chase could be given the man had disappeared.
