' TARANAKI’S GREATEST PAGEANT Will include many quaint and novel displays and FIVE BIG BRASS BANDS. FIVE BIG BRASS BANDS. These are the Bands for the Great MARDI GRAS NEXT THURSDAY. Waitara Brass Band. Eltham Brass Band. Hawera Citizens’ Brass Band. Patea Municipal Brass Band. Stratford Municipal Brass Band. A Masterpiece in Programmes of Events on the Showgrounds includes MARDI GRAS QUICKSTEP CONTEST. MARDI GRAS QUICKSTEP CONTEST. In which the Five Bands mentioned above will compete for the honor of beating the other fellow and securing the first prize of £25 good boodie and other prizes in proportion.
