OTAKI FOR SYDNEY. The liner Otaki sailed for Sydney shortly after 5 o’clock last evening after discharging New York cargo at New Plymouth. WAIHEMO ALONGSIDE. On the departure of the Otaki late yesterday afternoon the harbormaster brought the Waihemo alongside. Tlfe vessel will commence tho discharge of her Pacific Coast cargo this morning, and is expected to sail for Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin, and Sydney on Saturday. Captain Showman is in charge of the Waihemo, and his officers are: Chief, Mr. Cameron ; second, Mr. Attwood; third, Mr. Tregarthy; chief engineer, Mr. Cargill; 'second, Mr. Thomson; third, Mr. Buchanan; fourth, Mr. Johnson; chief steward, Mr. Thorsby. CORINNA WITH 900 TONS. The Corinna left Lyttelton at noon yesterday for Nelson and New Plymouth. She is due here to-morrow with 900 tons of general southern cargo. MIDDLESEX ON TUESDAY. The Federal liner Middlesex is now announced to leave Dunedin on Sunday morning, arriving at New Plymouth on Tuesday. a She will load 10,000 freight carcases of meat fr&m the Waitara works, in addition to shipments of butter and cheese, the quantity of which is not yet known by the agents.
