CHALLENGE SHIELD MATCH. South Taranaki and New Plymouth clubs met at the Egmont Club 'on Wednesday night in an Affiliated Clubs’ Challenge shield match. South Taranaki won all four billiard matches, and each side won two games of snooker. Fo - lowing are details of play, South Taranaki names being given first in each instance: Billiards. W. Result: South Taranaki Club 4 wins, New Plymouth Club 0 wins. Snooker. C. Gomer 92 beat A. Higgs 69. E. A. Pacey 71 lost to A. A. Bennett 72. G. Luscombe 76 lost to H. Whitham 108. W.
