HOSPITAL LEASES.
GOOD DEMAND AT SALE. An auction sale of the leases of the Taranaki Hospital Board’s reserves in Fulford Street and near the hospital gates was conducted by Messrs. Newton King, Ltd., yesterday. Seven sections were offered, the upset price being realised in all cases and exceeded in the case of four sections. Details of the sale of the leases, which are for 21 years, with right of renewal, are: Lot 1, 1 rood 1.57 perches—>J. M. McCracken, £l4 10s (upset £l2 10s). Lot 2, 1 rood 0.92 perches—H. C. Fake, £l3 10s (upset £l2 10s). Lot 3, 1 rood 1.25 perches —J. S. S. Medley, £l2 10s (upset £l2 10s). Lot 4. 1 rood 0.92 perches—A. B. Gibson, £l2 10s (upset £lB 10s). Lot 5, 1 rood 0.92 perches—A. B. Gibson, £l4 10s (upset £l2 10s). Lot 6, 37.31 perches—H. C. Baker, £l4 10s (upset £l4 10s). Lot 7,2 roods 10.2 perches—Peterson and Williamson, £2O (upset £2O).
Lots 1 to 5 are on the south side of Fulford Street, below the hospital, whilst lots 6 and 7 are just above the Dawson Street entrance to the hospital grounds.
