SENTENCES AT AUCKLAND. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland. Last Night. At the Supreme Court, Wilfred Osborne, who had pleaded guilty to obtaining £2OO from a widow by falsely representing he had £4OOO in a Wellington bank, in connection with a lawsuit against the French Government regarding films, was sentenced to reformative treatment for two years. An order was made for the return to the widow of £lO7. Four fishermen, James Shirley, Alfred Larsen. Alfred Williams and Henry Billyeald, who admitted theft from the wreck of the Wiltshire, were placed on a year’s probation, and ordered to pay the costs. Clarence Evans James, for theft from his employer, at Cambridge, was granted probation for two years, the goods taken, consisting of printing material, to be returned to the owner.
