By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following official weather forecast was issued at 4 p.m. to-day: "Present indications are for variable and strong winds, increasing easterlies to northerlies ruling northward of East Capp and Kawhia, with southeasterlies to north-easterlies elsewhere. Weather cloudy and overcast, with rain falling shortly in the northern and east, coast districts of the North Island, and cold and changeable conditions elsewhere. The barometer is unsteady, with a falling tendency in the north for a storm developing to the northwest of the Dominion."
