SYDNEY BRAN MARKET. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, June 30. The bran market is quiet in consequence of New Zealand bran offering for immediate delivery. Local millers are booking nothing under £9 10s per ton LONDON WOOL SALES. Wellington, June 30. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram dated 29 th instant, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London : Wool.—Sales closed with no material alteration in position. Competition generally good throughout, home. French and Belgian trades being principal supporters, the latter section purchasing freely. Best greasy merinos met with good demand and sold about previous rate, but medium and inferior closed 5 per cent, lower. Crossbred lines, which formed large proportion of offerings, have been irregular, and all show decline. Fine greasy closed 5 per cent, to 10 jxt cent., medium 15 per cent., and coarse 10 per cent, lower than May rates. Average closing values: — 60-d4's (merino), Is 2d to Is Sd; 56’s (super halfbred). Is Id to Is fid; 50’s (halfbred). B%d to 10%d: 4S’s (fine crossbred), to B%d; 44-4fi‘s (unediuni crossbred). 6%d to 7%d; 36-40’s (coarse crossbred), 5%d to 6%d. LOAN AND MERCANTILE REPORT. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house under date 28th instant:— Tallow.—We quote present spot values for the following descriptions: Fine mutton, 40s 3d per cwt.; good beef, 38s Cd per twt. ; mixed, 35s per cwt. Market quiet. New Zealand Frozen Meat.—Lamb: 11 1-Sd per lb. Mutton : Wether and maiden ewe, light 6 7-8 d per lb, heavy 5%d per lb; ewe, light 5 3-8 d per lb, heavy 5d per lb. Market weak. Beef: Ox hinds 4 l-8d per lb, fores 27-8 d per lb; cow hinds 3 3-Sd per lb, fores 2 l-8d per lb. (An advance of l-8d per lb.) Wool Sales.—The sales closed firmly today. As compared with last sales closing rates, prices are lower by about 5 per cent, for medium and inferior greasy Merino. Merino lambs and inferior scoured Merino, lower by about par to 5 per cent, for medium scoured Merino, lower by about. 5 to 7% per cent, for crossbred slipe, lower by about 10 to 15 per cent, medium and coarse greasy crossbred, lower by about 10 per eent. for fine greasy crossbred and scoured crossbred. There is no change In the market for superfine Merino and greasy crossbred lambs. Average current London value of the undernoted descriptions of New Zealand greasy woo! : Good Merino 22d per lb. medium Merino 18’,(.d per lb. inferior Merino 15d per lb. fine crossbred, per lb, medium crossbred B%d per lb, coarse crossbred 6%d per lb, coarse crossbred (36’s) 6W.d pe* - lb.
