EVERYBODY’S. One of the truly big attractions of the season is “Homespun Folks,” showing to-day, at Everybody’s. This feature lias all of the elements that go toward the making of a cinema success and are so skilfully blended, the climaxes so powerfully built up, and the comedy reliefs so cleverly placed, that there is never an instant in which, the story palls or loses interest. An all-star cast, in which Lloyd Hughes is featured, has been ably directed by John Griffith Wray under the personal supervision of Thomas H. Ince. The bill includes gazettes, comedy and “The Lure of the Circus.” The matinee to-day commences at 2 p.m. THE PEOPLE’S. MARION DAVIES IN “GETTING MARY MARRIED.” There have been thousands of brides this year—beautiful ones, too—but it is certain that there has been no lovelier one than that exquisite bit of femininity, Marion Davies. In her latest Selznick picture, “Getting Mary Married.” opening to-day at the People’s, the star is the essence of all that is young, beautiful and charming. In her white satin wedding dress and tiara of pearls, from which floats a handsome lace veil, beautiful Marion Davies looks like a delicate, gorgeous lily. After having been swayed and buffeted by the wind for many months, she basks at last in the warm sunshine, and finds happiness in her flowing veil, which she knows means refuge in the arms of the man she loves, who is now to become her husband. A more lovely and exquisite girl never enhanced a wedding dress than this beautiful Selznick star. The bill includes gazette, comedy and “The Adventures of Tarzan/’ The matinee today commences at 2 p.m.
