The acceptances for the first day of the Taranaki Jockey Club’s Christmas meeting dosed last night, and the response is highly satisfactory, pointing to a splendid day’s racing. In addition to the best of the Taranaki horses, there will be sone good performers present from Auckland. Thirteen remain in the Christmas Handicap, and eleven in tte Flying, and from the quality of the horses engaged good racing is assured.
