TARANAKI LAND BOARD.
THE MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Taranaki Land Board was held on Wednesday and Thursday. Present Messrs. H. J. Lowe (chairman), C. J. Ryan, N. R. Cleland, S. Blake, and J. W. H. Martin. The application by T. O'Shea for part section 12, block IV. Totaro, was recommended for approval. The following transfers were approved Section 515 town of New Plymouth. E. George to F. L. Hartnell; section 9, block XL, Aria, E. C. Ivey to T. S. Dunean; allotment 3, parts 560, 586, 587, town of New Plymouth, E. B. Filby to Ada Lock. The transfer of section 1, block VIII,, Ngatimaru. from M. McCurtain and F. H. Carr to H. B. Salter, was adjourned for further information. The application by Messrs. Page and Walked tor an amendment of the boundaries of sub-sections 15 to 18, section 1, Ohawe town belt, was adjourned for inspection. The scheme of subdivision of sub-section 1. part W., town belt of New Plymouth, leased by C. Skitrop, was approved. It was resolved to take steps to uplift the reservation on section 7, block XVI.. Pouatu. with a view to allotting it to the occupier of section 6. A report was received from the supervisor oil* section 13S, Croydon Settlement, formerly ) held by 15. Smith, and it was resolved to offer on the optional tenure. A scheme of subdivision of sections 1543, 1544, 1545. 1">69, and part reserve O, town of New’ Plymouth, was submitted and approved, values to be assessed. It was resolved that when proposals are approved for the expenditure of thirds, that the rangers be authorised to see that these are generally spent in accordance with the board's approval. Mrs. G. O. March was granted permission to erect improvements on sub-section 56. Ohawe town belt.
