THE KENNEDY ASHORE.

ON FOXTON BEACH. By Telegraph—-Press Association. Foxton, Dec. 13. The s.s. Kennedy, with general cargo from Wellington, in attempting to negotiate the bar this morning in the face of a stiff southerly gale, was driven ashore on the north beach. The extent of the damage has not yet been ascertained. Arrangements are being made to refloat the vessel.
