OPINION ON “NASH” CARS ’T'HE following extracts from an article taken from the English “AUTOCAR,” written by Mr. Owen John, the highest authority* on Motor Cars in the trade in England, is instructive k

“I have lately been using a 6-cylinder Car, better known in the States than over here, called the “NASH,” and once again I find myself having to seelc all the nicest adjectives I know of to fit its running. Standing at rest, or sweeping along at 55 miles per hour, I cannot remember a sweeter engine; its power is glorious, its acceleration swift without being violent, its picking-up abilites all that could be desired, and nothing could be more elegant than the way in which, foot off the throttle, the engine comes into use as a brake. Of course it has an engine starter that is quiet, its lamp 4 give plenty of light and do not rattle, its tyres are big, and its springing, when the weight in the car is properly distributed, would be hard to improve. “Fast and quiet as it is on the level, I think its best point is on the hills, its’ seats are not nearly so Uncomfortable as some others, and its doors shut easier and rattle less than most.

“Under the bonnet, the engine lies in one long neat unobtrusive steel box. Everythig seems closed in'to such an extent that, were it not for its appurtenances, such as the distributor, starter and radiator, there would appear no reason at all why any bonnet should be necessary. Like most of its brethren, it is supposed to look after itself. Its power is R.A.C. 2.5, and its price (here is the staggerer) is announced as .under £GOO.”

The prices here for immediate <b. livery are.—l92o, 5 and 3-seaters, £606 1921, 5-seatera, £675.
