A large and appreciative audience greeted the first appearance of the Great McEwen at the King’s Theatre last night. Mr. McEwen's performance was made up of magical illusions, which were heartily applauded. The mind reading, mental suggestion and hypnotism took the audience by storm. Altogether the performance is one of the highest standing. Mr. McEwen is deserving of the highest possible praise for his clean, humorous and scientific entertainment. A complete change of programme will be given to-night, and those who are desirous of seeing him should lose no opportunity of doing so. Seats may be booked at the King’s Theatre, Stratford, and full details are 'advertised. Particulars of Uamason’s sale are advertised elsewhere. It will eoon be time to get your Christmas mail away to the Old Country and readers are advised to order their private greeting cards in good time. A splendid range of sample cards can be seen at Wilson Bros., Printers and Stationers, Stratford, and orders placed with them will be completed promptly and carefully.
