SPRINGBOKS REACH HOME. COMMENTS BY MANAGER. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Capetown, Oct. 26. The Springboks have arrived. The manager, interviewed, reiterated the charges of roughness of play in the New South Wales matches, but believed the tour had done much to revive interest in Bugby. Regarding New Zealand, he believed tte South Africans were over-cautious, otherwise they might have won the tests. He paid a high tribute to the enthusiasm of the New Zealand people, which alone assured the financial success of the tour. THE LEAGUE GAME, AUSTRALASIANS BEAT BATLEY. London, Oct. 26. The Australasian League fo-otbaJlers had an easy victory over Batley. Play was lively, hut the speed and vim of the visitors beat Batley all through. At half-time the score was: Australasia 15, Barley 7. The • final score was : Australasia 6 goals ana 7 i tries, Batley 2 goals and 1 try.
