Brisbane, Oct. 25. Two fresh cases of plague are reported and one death. SPREAD OF THE DISEASE. ORIGIN IN EASTERN COUNTRIES. Received Oct. 25, 9.35 p.m. > Brisbane, Oct. 25. The Home Secretary disputes Dr. Cumpston’s statement that the plague has spread north from Brisbane. He says the first infected rat was found in Cairns, the disease coming from Eastern countries. Another ret infected with plague was discovered in Brisbane.
