INGLEWOOD.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Newton King, Ltd., had a good attendance for the Saturday’s mart sale, to whom there was for offer a fairly good variety of lots. A young nanny-goat (a pet) made 10s; small pigs sold at from 6s to 12s, and slips up to 18s; cocks and hens Is to 2s; apples from for small cases to 10s for full size. A large assortment of vegetables—cauliflowers, pumpkins, parsnips, etc. —as well as sundry furniture and implements sold at satisfactory rates. That the Inglewood Operatic Society means business is shown by the fact that the first rehearsal for their coming appearance is to be held in the Parish Hall on Wednesday evening next, when ail participants an; particularly pressed to be present.
