OBITUARY.

MR. B. M. MOLINEAUX. A Christchurch message says that Mr. B. M. Molineaux, Inspector of the Bank of New South Hales, while seeing his daughter off by* train on Sunday night, collapsed and died before nodical aid could be secured. He was 69 veais of age. The late Air. Molineaux* had a long experience with the Bank of New South' Wales. An Englishman by birth, he came out to the colonies when a young man. and completed his education in Sydney, N.S.W. In 1808 he joined the head office of the bank, in the New iSouth Wales capital, as a junior, but as a result of his exceptional qualities he was promoted to the position of accountant at the bank’s Ravenswood (Queensland) branch. Two years later he returned to Sydney, and during the it ext few years ho held the position of | relieving oflicer, and then manager at Townsville, being appointed manager ai, Chilternjn 1877. He remained there until 1879, when he. was transferred as manager to Inglewood, Victoria. Tha late Mr. Molineaux remained at’lrtglei wood until 1886, when he was removed to Kyneton as manager. From thisa town he came to New Zealand in January, 1891. and took up his duties ofi manager of the Wellington branch of th« bank.
