DOMINION’S INDUSTRY.

{EXHIBITION AT WELLINGTON, A LESSON FOR M.P.’s. By Association. Wellington, T.ast NigM. It Jb proposed to hold an industrial exhibition in Wellington during the forthcoming session, when Parliament will deal with the tariff question. The object of the exhibition is to show what is actually taking place in regard to the development and improvement of the manufacturing industries of the Dominion. Mr. C. J. Ward, president of the Industrial Corporation of New Zeakmd, explained what was aimed at. “It is not the usual exhibition of wares,” he said, “but we want to tabulate the industries that are established in the Dominion and bring them under the notice of the legislators. Therefore we ask the industries of the Dominion to organise in order to show not what a particular manufacturer can do, but what industry as a whole is doing.” He hoped manufacturers throughout the Dominion would take this broad view.
