FIRE BREAKS OUT ON ONE. STRIKERS BLAMED. j. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. June 13, 9.15 p.m. New York, June 13. Two big ocean liners, the Buckeye State and the Western Comet, have been badly disabled. The marine striKers are blamed. The Buckeye State sailed for California with 135 passengers, but a tire broke out and the ship is lying crippled off Chesapeake Bay, whence she will put back to Baltimore. The strikers rejected a six month®’ agreement with a 15 per cent, reduction in wages.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
