LONDON WOOL SALES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, June 7. At the wool sales 12,201 bales were catalogued. of which 3551 were New Zealand. It was a good representative selection, especially the Westralian and New Zealand wool. There was a large attendance and strong competition. The Germans were operating keenly, but the home trade was very reserved, pending a settlement of the labor difficulties. Merinos were 5 per cent, above the May closing prices; crossbreds were firm and unchanged. AUSTRALIAN WHEAT DEARER. Sydney, June 8. In consequence of reports from America predicting bad yields, the Australian Wheat Board has increased the price of wheat for export purposes from 7s 9d to Bs.
