There is a covering of several feet of mud in which motors, street cars, furniture, parts of buildings and probably many bodies are buried. Baxter reports that a score of people ■were drowned there. The Platte River is falling, relieving the menace to Denver. Received June 9, 12.30 a.m. New York, June 8. Fifty-two bodies have been found at Pueblo and three thousand persons are accounted for. No inquest will be held, the flood being an act of God.—Aus.-N-Z. Cable
