PORT OF NEW PLYMOUTH A LATEST OVERSEA MOVEMENTS. THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 1921 “HASES OF THE MOON. FEBRUARY. 22nd.—Full Moon, 9.9 p.un. TIDES. High water to-day at 3.36 a.m. and 4.29 p.m.; to-morrow, at 5.15 a.m. and 6.0 p.m. SUNRISE AND SUNSET. The sun rises to-day at 5.20 a.m. and sets at 6.40 p.m.; to-morrow, rises at 5.21 a.m. and sets at 6.39 p.m. arrived. Feb. 16.—Flora, s.s, (7.30 a.m.), 1283 tons, McLellan, from South, via Wellington. IN PORT. La Merced, aux. schooner. EXPECTED ARRIVALS. Rarawa, from Onehunga, to-dnorrow. Corinna, from south, early. Kalapol, from Melbourne, early in March. FLORA ARRIVES. The Flora arrived from south yesterday morning with 840 tons of general cargo for discharge here. After discharging she will load 3000 orates of cheese for transhipment to the Opawa at Wellington, also a quantity of general cargo for Nelson and Lyttelton. The date of the vessel’s sailing is indefinite in consequence of the cessation of overtime work at the wharf. LA MERCED DISCHARGING. Discharging operations on the Im Merced are proceeding steadily, but the vessel will probably remain in port for the greater part of a week. CORINNA FROM SOUTH. Advice has been received that the Corinna left Wellington last night for Dunedin, where she will take in cargo and proceed to New Plymouth via Oamaru, Tlmaru, Lyttelton, and Nelson. ZEALANDIC TO LOAD. The Shaw, SavJJl and Albion Company have received cable advice that the Zealandic left Newcastle at 3 p.m. on Monday for Waitara to commence Homeward loading. The vessel Is due at Waitara to-morrow afternoon, and will proceed thence to Wanganui and Wellington, arriving at Wellington on the 25th Inst. The Zealandic will proceed from Wellington to Lyttelton to fill up, and sails from the southern port on March 12 for London via Panama.
THE RIMUTAKA. The New Zealand Shipping Company advise that their liner Rhmutaka, at present discharging London cargo at Auckland, is expected to arrive at Wellington, about Monday next. THE NORTHUMBERLAND. The Federal Line advise that the Northumberland, at present unloading New York cargo at Auckland, is to sail from the latter port to-day for Wellington. She is due at Wellington on Saturday with part cargo to discharge. OTIRA FROM ST. JOHN. 1 The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advise the Otira is to leave St. John at the end of this month cargo-laden for New Zealand and Australian ports. CARGO TO ARRIVE. The Waimate, due at Auckland about March 15 from St. John, has the following cargo for the Dominion:—For Auckland, 1100 tons; for Wellington, 1200 tons; for Lyttelton, 1050 tons; for Dunedin, 1150 tons. The Piako, which left Liverpool on February 2 for New Zealand ports, Is bringing the following cargo For Auckland, 2750 tons; for Wellington, 2550 tons; for Lyttelton, 1650 tons; for Dunedin, 1000 tons; for Bluff, 800 tons.
