A TRAGIC END.
TAILOR COMMITS SUICIDE. ' ' By Telegraph.—rress Association. Wellington, Last Night. Rubin Dobson, a tailor, aged 45 years, was found dead at his home in Willis Street this morning with his throat cut. At the inquest this afternoon, a companion of the deceased said he accompanied him to Pukerua for the weekend. Witness noticed that deceased was rather quiet on the way out to the whare, and at 3 o'clock on Sunday morning he awakened witness by calling: "Fred! Pred! I have been poisoned with arsenic." Deceased then recovered himself, and said he must have been out of his senses. Later, however, he startled witness by asking him to take a note of what he had said, as it was all true. He then cried, and asked to be taken home. Witness added that the deceased threatened to take a boat out and dive overboard, remarking at the same time that he really thought ho was going "off liis head," and that he had had no sleep for some time. Witness took the deceased homo and advised his wife to get a doctor as soon as possible.
The Coroner found that death was due to a wound self-inflicted whilst Tii a state of temporary insanity.
