The French Preii is anxious in regard to the,Wrangel debacle, which is likely eeormoraly to enhance the Bolsheviks' prestige in Mussulman countries. One writer states Kemal's action now assumes outstanding importance, constituting a new danger to Europe. The Daily Express says French Military circles are staggered. They thought the army sound, and that the Perekop defences were capable of repulsing indefinite onslaughts, and they fear an immediate repercussion on the Polish front. Nearly all General Wrangel's regimental commanders have been killed. It is officially admitted that his troops .are exhausted. The members of his Government are on board Frencli warships, which are assisting in the evacuation. This wai commenced before General Wrangel's front was broken, but frightful congestion exists, owing to the influx of refugees. The Bolsheviks' capture of rich booty and war material in' the Crimea will enable them to undertake new enterprises.—United Service. Berlin, Nov. 14. A Moscow official report states that the Bolshevik commander has demanded Wnmgel'a immediate surrender, promising an amnesty to him and his troops.— Assn. GRAVE PLIGHT OF REFUGEES. ' Constantinople, Nov. 13. Eighty thousand refugees from the Crime* are asking for transportation abfOtij, but transport is limited, and tt' prubahly will be impossible to embark more than 20,000. The first refugee* have arrived at Constantinople, ■ but have not been permitted to land .owing to congestion of housing and scarcity <?f food. The refugees' plight is of the gravest.
