WAIRARAPA DAIRYING.
THE OUTPUT OF CHEESE. Masterton, Sept. 24-. The returns in connection with the Wairarapa factories which manufactured cheese during the past season show the importance of the dairying industry to the Wairarapa. These returns do not take into account the large amount of butter that is manufactured. The following figures show the quantity of cheese made at the factories named and the value of the same:— Feat.herston, 785 tons (£81,371); Dalelield, 525 tons '£55,003); Grey town, 406J tons £40,l! 43); Parkvale', 318'/ 2 tons £31,879); Belvedere, 238 tons ( £23,178); Pihautere Pateview, 235 tons ( £22,705); Otaraia, 2174 tons (£21,298); Tawaha, 135 lons. (£13,471); Taratahi, 100 A tons ( £10,874); Mokotau, 103 tons ( £lO,- 1 0.18); Carring.ton, 101 tons (£!)777); Ahearuhe, 70 tons ( £(l7'il7). This makes a total of 3230 tons of cheese of a gross . alue of £320,754.
