THE OUTPUT OF CHEESE. Masterton, Sept. 24-. The returns in connection with the Wairarapa factories which manufactured cheese during the past season show the importance of the dairying industry to the Wairarapa. These returns do not take into account the large amount of butter that is manufactured. (£13,471); Taratahi, 100 A tons ( £10,874); Mokotau, 103 tons ( £lO,- 1 0.18); Carring.ton, 101 tons (£!)777); Ahearuhe, 70 tons ( £(l7'il7). This makes a total of 3230 tons of cheese of a gross . alue of £320,754.
