HAWERA BRANCH MEETS. A meeting of local Friesian bjrwderfl was held at the Egmont A. and P.%Ai< sociation's office on Saturday. Mr. Marehant referred to what the Stratford breeders had done, and aftei discussion Mr. Bra'dford moved and Mr. Betts seconded: "That the Frieslas breeders ask the Egmont A. and P, Association to subsidise extra prkeiaoaey over and above the amount in schedule up to £3O on a £ for £ basis," . TJhfl was carried. Mr. Imlitli moved,., and Mr. Walker seconded: "Thai the prino in6nt>y fot tho Derby class for yearling heifer. b( £-1 first, £lO 10s second,, .115 <s# third, i'i) 3s fourth, and £'l 2s fifth."—Carried; Mr. MeCormaeft moved, and Mr jlettl seconded: "That Messrs. Johnston, Walker and Bradford be a committor'to interview the Egmont A. and P. Aisuciation, with power to act."—Carried. Mr, Betts moved, and Mr. Imlah eeeomled: "That this meeting ot Frieskp breeders held at Hawera support tte resolution passed by 'the branch of the Friesian Association, #ftd urge that the Government take stips.tQ carry the resolution into effect at an earlj' date."—Carried,—Star. , ?
