EX-SOLDIERS FROM HOME. EMIGRATION TO DOMINIONS, By Telegraph.—Press A£3n.—Copyright, Received Sept, 25, 5.5 p.m. London, Sept. 24. The emigration of ex-service men is proceeding strongly. Approved applications, exclusive of dependents, during August numbered: For Canada 931, Australia 450, New Zealand 214, South Africa 130. This brings the totals since the inception of the scheme to: Canada C 292, Australia 3655, New Zealand 2555, South Africa 1103, with a total for all the Dominions of 28,f58. Each application on the average carries two dependents, thus bringing the total approved applicants to over 60,000. The expenditure incurred by the Imperial Government on account of passages exceeds £300,000. Twenty thousand applications, covering 50,000 people including dependents, await approval. Canada is discontinuing the reception of applications after September, owing to the approach of winter, and it is anticipated that applications for Australasia will be proportionately increased. —Aus.-N.Z.
