DAIRY MEETINGS.
THE PIHAMA CO. The*twenty-third annual general meeting of the above company was held on Saturday, when Mr. Geo. Looney, chairman of directors, presided over an attendance of 33 shareholders. The chairman moved that the report and balance-sheet be taken as read and adopted. This was carried. A number of questions relating to vt.Tious Hams were asked and satisfactorily replied to. Statistics.—Milk received for butter-mak-ing, 80,7201b5; butter-ftit, 3,0031b5; butter made, 420711)3; over-run, 18.4; lbs milk to lb butter, 15.9; average test, 4.46. Milk received' for cheese-making, 12,27G,2.901b5; butter-fat received for creese-making, 473,4731b5; cheese made, 1,308,3391b5; lbs milk to lib cheese, 9.38; lbs cheese to lib butter-fat, 2.6515 net; average test, ■ 3.855. Central factory: lbs milk to lib cl-eese, 9.0- lbs cheese to lib butterfat, 2.73; average test 3.95, average grade 91.720. Skect Itonri: lbs milk to lib cheese 0.6, lbs cheese to lib butter-fat 2.65, average test 3.80, average grade 91.760. Waltelka ; lbs milk to lib cheese 9.8, lbs cheese to lib bulter-fat. 2.07, average lest 3.09, average trade 91.079. Whey butter to the value of £2,1(16 was D.'anufaetured during the year. Payment for butter-fat during the year was made at the rate of Is 9d per lb, and thero remained a surplus of £6382 9s 6d to be dealt with, which _ would provide a further 3 l-8d per lb butter-fat, together with Interest on shares. The chairman congro.tuL.ted shareholders on having experienced a good season, and said indications pointed to another prosperous year. Sevon seven hundred and thirty-threo cases of cheese had been made, as against 7033 for tire previous year. The shipping facilities had improved, this year's | balance in slores being only 1260 cases, as against 4785 last year. The output for the year had been consigned through Messrs. Lovell and Christmas ou open consignment. The following directors ~ were elected for tho ensuing year; Skeet Itoad, Messrs. J. D. Conaglen; Waltelka Hoad, .1. F. Shepherd; main factory, F. Julian. For the four vacancies lo complete the' Board, Messrs. J. Pettigrow, J. S. Tosland, A. Petty, and J5. «. Forsyth were elected. Mr. H. J. Newman wa» elected auditor at a fee of £ls 15s, Tho chairman's honorarium was fixed it £75 per year. Tl:e retiring chairman, Mr. G. Xooney, was voted £25 as a token of appreciation of his services to the eomnany during his 13 years on the directorate. At the subsequent meeting of directors, Air. J. Pettigiew was elected chairman Times.
