BAVARIA.

MILITARY DICTATORSHIP MOOTED. By Telejroph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Sept. 20. Reports from Germany appear to indicate that monarchist schemes are on foot in Bavaria. The Vorwaerts says that Socialists in North Bavaria have seijt a message to the derman Government stating that Hindenburg, Ludendorff. and the ex-King' of Bavaria will attend a shooting competition of the Bavarian Einwohmerwehr, to be held at Munich on September 24 and 25, and that military circles have made minute preparations for the establishment of a military dictatorship. It is significant in this connection that at a meeting of the Bavaria People's Party in Bamberg on September 18 a resolution was adopted by a large majority affirming the right of individual States to choose their own form of Government, conduct their own foreign policy, control their own taxation, and have the reichswehr formed on the basis of federal con-tingents.—Aus.-N.Z.
