The Flora arrived from South Island ports at 4.10 p.m. yesterday, but no attempt was made to discharge her cargo of 900 tons, on account of the heavy rain. CORINNA ON FRIDAY. The Corinna will he due here on Friday morning from Dunedin via ports, and is expected to get away for Wellington and South Island ports on Saturday afternoon. PORT FIR IE TO-MORROW. The C. and D. liner Port Pirle la due at New Plymouth to-morrow afternoon from Sydney . direct. She loads produce here, aid then goes to Wellington. HORORATA LEFT PANAMA. The Hororata left Panama on the 14th hist, for New York, en route from Wellington. THE PORT CAROLINE. The Port Caroline arrived at Melbourne on Saturday morning from London, en route to Sydney, Auckland, Napier, and Wellington. The vessel Is due at Auckland early in November. - KARAMEA DELAYED. The Karamea has been delayed In obtaining a berth at Newcastle to load coal for Wellington. The vessel Is to sail now from the former port on Saturday next. ! CANADIAN EXPORTER. The Canadian Exporter, now discharging Vancouver cargo at Auckland, is to leave the latter port to-dny for Wellington, where she Is due on Saturday 'morning. PORT STEPHENS LEFT PANAMA. « The Port Stephens left Panama last Sunday en routei from Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Australia. The vessel Is due at Auckland on October 13th„ and at Wellington about a week later. WANGARATTA AT NEW YORK. The Wangaratta arrived at New York on the 14th lust, from Wellington via Panama. SURREY LEFT PANAMA. ' The Surrey left Panama on the 14th Inst, i for New Zealand ports. The vessel is due ! at Auckland about October 7tb or Bth., and at Wellington aboui October 12th. It is understood that the United .States .tall Steamship Company and the North German Lloyd interests have sufrmltteeed to the Shipping Board for Its consideration and approval a contract providing for the Joint operation of the vessels of both lines in a passenger and freight service between Germany and American Atlantic ports. It is believed tbat the contract will in many respects be similar to a recent arrangement between the Hamburg-American Line and the American Ship and Commerce Corporation.
