An inquest was held on the body of Sue Pin, the aged Chinaman who was found dead in his hut at Blackball, near Ranfurly. After hearing medical evidence the coroner returned a verdict that the cause of death was apoplexy caused by rupture of a diseased bloodvessel in the brain.
