(Received Sept. 13, 8.50 a.m.) It is reported that one of the finest iron fields in the world has been discovered in the Philippines, Surveys thus far completed disclose 500 million tons of ore. In response to an appeal by Mr. Balfour, the Lord Mayor announces that London's next Flag Day is to be devoted to the fund to combat typhus.
