She left St. Margaret's Bay wjth the sea calm and no wind. Mrs. Hamilton is well-known in society. She is a strict vegetarian, and frequently. swims five miles before dinner. Mrs. Hamilton abandoned the attempt to swim the Channel within nine miles of the French coast.
