HIS NAME NOT DISCLOSED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. A country solicitor, who is alleged to have failed to perform certain duties in connection with his business, was the defendant in resultant legal proceedings befo(£ Mr. Justice Cooper at the Supreme Court to-day. The Auckland District Law Society's application was that the defendant should be punished by the Court for his alleged breach of professional duty. Dr. Bamford appeared for the applicants, and Mr. Prendergast was present on behalf of the solicitor in question. It was agreed to reserve the whole matter for the consideration of the Court of Appeal. His Honor suggested that as the practitioner had not yet been heard his name should not meantime be made public.
