Persian Cossacks under Starosselsks, who recently defeated the Bolsheviks at Resht, were obliged by superior forces to fall back on Menjil, where the force, supported by British troops, is now resting. The Bolsheviks have not made any advance beyond the immediate naighbourhood of Resht-—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
