ASSOCIATION' FORMED IV XEW PLYMOUTH There was a very fair attendance at the adjourned meeting which was held In the Workers' Social Hall Inst night for the purpose of forming a BoilnfT Association in New Plymouth. Mr. E. Whittle presided. The meeting had been adjourned because after the previous meeting the secretary n»nmunleated with the secretary of the New Zealand Boxing Council, and received a reply suggestinf that an attempt should he made to resuscitate the old Koxtng Association which had been affiliated some years previously. A committee was set up to get in tf.uch with members of the old Association, and after further communication with the secretary of the Boxiiu; Council. It was decided to proceed with the formation of a new Association.

It was Anally decided lo fonni an association to be known aa the Taranaki Boslng Association. Officer,* were (sleeted as follows:—President. Colonel Weston; vice-presidents, Drs. Fookes and Walker, Messrs. H. Brookinan, E. Whittle, T. Richards. (• 1,. Kaspar, V. Jackson, W. ,T. Honeyfleld, P. Phirattee, M. Stacpoole. .1. Sutherland (Inglewood), S. (i. Smith, MP. Jas Clarke, Fainveather (Waltara), and W. It. Wrieht (Rnhotu) : committee, Messrs. Iton Paul, E. Whitth, .T. finrcia, T. Smith, T W. ltolston, E Jackson, J. Gallagher, (Jeo. ttlchardson, W. Mchards, -T. McLeod; hoiv. secretary and treasurer, E. Clarke; auditor, Mr. .1. S. S. Medley.

It was resolved that '(he subscription be fixed at 10s fid aclivc, and £1 Is hon. members. The Committee was authorised to draft rules.

The nnestion of limiting membership was left, to the committee. A letter was received from Mr. Thompson, of Tolto. offcrins ui brlns in .a team of nine to n tiiiirn.iiiiient. providing sufficient notice of the date was Riven.
