A. PRINCESS' WARDROBE. By Teleerapa.—Press Assn.—Copyritfit. Paris, March 5. An amazing sale was held of the late Princess Lobanoff's wardrobe. She had collected a prodigious number of garments, including 300 teagowns, for .10 years back. Many were unopened and unworn and would have been sold at any price but for the war having raised prices. Two hundred pounds sterling was paid for sets of a dozen undergarments . Parcels of five sheets sold for £loo.'
THE INDIAN FRONTIER. Delhi, March 8. The Deraiat column at Kaniguran sustained fifteen casualties in postinc piquets beyond Liashkar. The Waziri's are reported to have left Shakai. The officer commanding in Waziristan telegraphed that, lie had visited the advanced column hospitals, which ' were well found, and the transport was good. The piquet posts were strong and secure. The troops were confident and alated at their successes. The Ahnaitangi country consists of very precipitous, rocky hills, and the recent successful operations speak hiarhlv for the valour of the troops.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn
