The Marconi Company's Empire scheme of a wireless network proposes trunk and branch routes covering the whole Empire, all ships between latitudes sixty north and fifty south, and also a separate transmitting and receiving station for the purpose of duplexing. linking sea and air mobile stations with fixed stations chosen after consultation with the fighting service, The proposals include Australian routes, via Singapore and Vancouver. There will be two main trunk stations, each the same, to Australia, connecting New Zealand by a main feeder station, also feeder stations in each important city of the Commonwealth.
