NEW PLYMOUTH COMMITTEE. A meeting of the New PlymoutJ > ■Patriotic Committee was held yesterday . there being present: Mr W. J. Chanej (chairman), Archdeacon Evans, MessrsC. E. Bellringer and C. Carter. Aj apology for albsence was received fron I Mr. C. H. Burgess. A number of letters of thanks weT( received from men to whom grants ha< been made. j The question of district boundariei was brought up in a letter from thi 1 County of Egmont League, but no actio# was taken, • A number of applications for assistiwco and small grants were received. Two suggested schemes for the dlvi-" sion of patriotic funds wore received!' one from Marlborough aiA the other from South Taranaki. but these were referred to the War Relief Association, who will go into then at next week's meeting. . s\ A number of cases of disabled men were considered and further action in? connection with them will be taken. ' Ten applications were dealt with and recommendations made to the War Be» lief Association for giving assistance.
