' Lloyd's Register shows that nearly 1 three million tons of shipping were be- , ing built, in the United Kingdom at the 1 end of December,-being an increase oi 177,000 tons compared wftth September 30, and over a million more than lit the i end of December, 1918. Til.: present total includes fifty-five vessels of 10,000 tons and upwards. Nearly live million tons are being built abroad, a decrease of 205,000 compared with September 30.
