DEFAULTER . SENT TO PRISON. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. William Payne, who was court-mar-tialled on a charge of failing to parade on July 12th, 1017, for medical examination, has been sentenced to a year's imprisonment. The sentence, which will be served at Paparua Prison, will be without hard labor, as the medical report of Payne's condition stated that he is unfit for hard labor.
